Dear Corley Families,
I am honored to serve as the new principal of Corley Elementary and look forward to getting to know parents, students, and community members. I have lived in the Duluth/Lawrenceville area for over 28 years and have been involved in education as a parent, teacher, and administrator. I have three children who are all in Gwinnett County Public Schools. My two daughters are teachers at the elementary and middle school level and my son is a high school sophomore.
Our theme for the 2011-2012 school year is “Pulling Together…The POWER of TEAMWORK.” By working together we can create a positive learning environment to ensure the success of all students. We strongly believe that the partnership between school, family, and community is essential to educating and preparing students for the future.
Corley is a learning community that values high expectations for both academics and behavior. Parents and community members are invited to support our belief that all children can learn as we seek to make a difference in the lives of our students. We consider the elementary school years to be a vital foundation for your children’s future success. Our goal is to provide the best possible education for each child.
I look forward to building many positive relationships during this coming year. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Ruth Tomlinson
Principal
